Prince was a very popular but mysterious, American pop artist that lived from 7 June 1958 until 21 April 2016. He has many popular songs like '1999', 'When Doves Cry', 'Little Red Corvette', Controversy and 'Kiss', but his biggest hit is undeniably 'Purple Rain'. Prince was a pop icon with and left his mark with his new musical style. Every performance on stage was a big show because of his entertainment skills.
Not only the song text but also every repertuare of the instruments for the album 'For You' released in 1978 are done by him.
In 1984 came his biggest success with the song 'Purple Rain'.
1992 was the year that Prince made a deal with the label of Warner Brothers for a 100 million dollar. The album 'Love Symbol' was releases with his famous love symbol.

Changing names
In 1993 Prince changed his artist name to 'Formerly Known as Prince' because he didn't want to be named as 'Prince' anymore. However in 2000 he changed his name back to 'Prince'.
In 2004, Prince was added to the 'Rock and Roll Hall of Fame'.
His 31th album '3121' soled over more than 183436 pieces in the first week it entered all the charts on the first place when it was first released.
In 2007 Prince played for 21 nights in a row in the O2 Arena in London during the 'Earth Tour'. The first 7 concerts where soled out in 20 minutes.
2016, April the 21th, Prince died in his home in Paisley Park. 5 days before he had to make a forced landing with his private jet because of health reasons. Some say because of a flu, other say that it was an overdose of taking medication. I guess we never gonna know the truth about this mysterious man, like the whole person Prince was.
Prince's Paisley Park, where he lived, has been re-opend after 6 months of dead as a the Prince Museam. You can visit his studio and lots of relics of the Pop star.

Hits like Purple Rain and Littele Red Corvette could only be streamed on Tidal. But this has been changed because the famely of Prince has reached and agreement with Universal Music that will stream all his music on Spotify, Napster and Soundcloud. Apple music is also in the running but we haven't heared yet about their plans with the music of Prince.
