Obie Trice was born November 14th of 1977 in Detroit, Michigan. He began rapping at the age of 11. He does not have a 'rap name' but uses his own name giving at his birth.

Obie got the attention from Bizarre, a member of D12. Bizarre introduced Obie to Eminem and the rest was history. In 2000 Obie Trice signed a contract at Eminem's Shady Records.

Debut album: Cheers
In 2003 his debut album 'Cheers' was released with featuring artist like Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Kon Artis and Eminem. The album got on the 5th position in the Billboard 200 and won a platinum with over more than 1 million soled records in the VS.

Second Round's on Me album
On August the 15th of 2006 Obie Trice released his 2nd album 'Second Round's on Me. This time he worked together with artists like Akon, J.R. Rotem and of course Eminem. This album got the 8th position in the Billboard 200. Less than 500.000 records where soled.

2008, an own label, 2 new albums
Obie Trice left the Shady Records/Interscope label in June 2008 and started his own label 'Worldwide-Hustle'. The album 'Bottom's Up' that was originally meant to be on the Shady label was on hold. Obie made a 4th album 'Special Reserve' that he released first on his own label. After that he released his 'Bottom's Up' album, also under his own label.
